Stellenbosch U240 credits over 3 years (80 per year). Two modules, one for face-to-face taught content (776) and the other for thesis development (872). Mode of Teaching - Module 776 is taught by means of interactive sessions in block format. These sessions are compulsory.
- In the first year a total of 12 days, and in the second year a total of 8 days are set aside for full time teaching.
- Module 872 is done individually under supervision of an assigned staff member.
- Contact hours between teaching staff and students: 172 (over a period of 16 months). This is more than twice the number of hours set aside for teaching an Honours programme or a full third year course.
- Follow up assignments are submitted through e-mail and continuous.
- Study material consist of prescribed books, PDF and PPT presentations by staff, printed. Readers in some cases and internet references.
