Profile | Biography | Research | Contact |  | | Andre Saito Ph.D. candidate Graduate School of Knowledge Science Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology | I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at JAIST, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan, conducting research on knowledge management (KM) competence and graduate KM education. I work at the Social Systems Laboratory (Umemoto Lab), at the Graduate School of Knowledge Science. Prior to coming to JAIST, I received a M.Sc. degree in Business Administration from FGV, Fundacao Getulio Vargas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 2000, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from UNICAMP, Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Campinas, Brazil, in 1992. I also was a graduate exchange student at UBC, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, in 1998. Since 1997, my career focused on e-learning. I have conducted projects involving the development and delivery of a variety of courses, the training and coaching of faculty and staff, and the design and implementation of e-learning infra-structures. I have also acted as lecturer in diploma courses on topics like management information systems, e-commerce, and information and communication technology. My professional experience includes: - Teaching at ESPM, Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing, from 2001 to 2003, and at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, in 2003, both in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
- Developing and coordinating the delivery of several e-learning courses and programs at FGV, Sao Paulo, Brazil, between 1997 and 2003.
- Consulting at Idea Desenvolvimento Empresarial, Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1997.
- Several functions, including a managerial position, at Amil Assistencia Medica Internacional, Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 1994 to 1996.
I have been married to Sandra for 12 years, and have two lovely children, Amanda and Leonardo. |
